Join our team as a Thesis Worker, RFID / NFC Integration

We’re looking for a Thesis Worker to join IXI, focusing on designing and implementing an RFID / NFC reader interface to IXI’s test platform. You’ll take ownership of designing and implementing how our eyewear’s RFID component communicates with our test systems and databases, making product data traceable and improving how we manage test information.

This is a great opportunity for a student interested in combining hardware, software, and data - and getting hands-on experience in real product development. The role is paid, based in Keilaniemi Espoo, and a fixed term contract until end of May.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement an RFID / NFC reader interface for IXI’s test platform.
• Develop and validate the software interface between the test software and related databases.
• Work with the team to integrate the reader into the production test system.
• Document your work and results to meet our quality and traceability standards.

What You Bring

• You’re currently studying in an Applied Sciences degree program (e.g., embedded systems, automation, software engineering, or similar).
• Basic understanding of RFID or NFC interfaces.
• Python coding experience, including use of version control (e.g., Git).
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Knowledge of ISO 13485 and experience in test system validation is a plus but not required.
