Join our team as a Data Scientist

We’re looking for a curious and skilled Data Scientist to help us push the boundaries of eye-tracking technology. In this role, you’ll work on real-time algorithm challenges together with the team. Tasks involve improving signal acquisition and signal processing chains to best support core eye-tracking algorithms, as well as exploring and maintaining algorithms that are operated as conditional control statements. Your work will directly impact the accuracy and performance of our technology.

We value experience with physiological signals and expertise working together with embedded software and/or algorithm developers. You won’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves and working with our measurement systems when needed, have an eye on the detail and hands-on mindset.

We’re open to shaping the role around your unique strengths, and we encourage initiative, autonomy, and creativity. To succeed in this role, you'll need self-leadership, the ability to prioritize effectively, and love for solving problems and expressing data in a meaningful way.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop advanced optical eye-tracking technology, context recognition and lens control mechanisms as part of the team.
  • Work on improving and optimizing signal acquisition and signal processing chains.
  • Explore and investigate challenges caused to algorithms due to physiological and ambient interference.

We would like you to have: 

    • 5+ years of experience in signal processing and data analysis.
    • MSc degree in a relevant field.
    • Experience on data-driven investigations, especially in low-power embedded platforms, and ability to report the findings in a meaningful way.
    • Solid skills in at least Matlab or Python.
    • Some experience of C++ programming, possibly with a twist of C. Basic understanding of build systems and version controls.
    • Ability to carry out independent verification and validation activities.
    • Hands-on experience of hardware (mechanics and/or electronics) is considered a big bonus.
